![]() Just tried again using the UK downloaded Toolbox, and a VPN so that the Internet thought that my computer was actually in Manchester.same result. So unless someone can reverse engineer the toolbox, I don't see how we can get it to connect to the update server and successfully download the maps. Not only does the VIN number show up when I run the Toolbox, it also has my name. So I thank you for the kind offer of trying to update the card from the UK, Ron, but with everything I've seen and done, I'd guess that, if the Toolbox can check for specific VIN numbers, and differentiate between Mazda and 124 Spider, I'd guess that they can also correlate the VIN to a specific region and act appropriately, ie. Not surprising, as it is probably programmed to scan the card for a Mazda VIN number, and, if it doesn't find one, just won't proceed to recognize the SD card. The Mazda version of the Toolbox would not recognize my SD card. I even tried downloading the Mazda Toolbox, which is the same Naviextras Map Updater Toolbox. Also, if you try to download the Map Update toolbox from the actual Naviextras web site, it takes you to a blank page and the download never happens. I've tried using the map toolbox behind a VPN from various countries around the world, no different. All versions of the toolbox yield the same problem. So, to add to the pot.I've tried downloading the Map Update Toolbox from the Australian site, and, I think the UK site. OR.Wooley68 "Graeme" did volunteer a while back to bring bits back to the UK from USA on visits, I requested he bring in my "Good-Win" exhaust system, but he never answered me (can't think why ) but maybe you could fill his suitcase with SD cards, he comes "Home", updates for you and returns after he has explained to Customs. No, that's a daft idea as well.He is Pure Bred "Scottish" so tight as a fishes rear end, plus, I don't know if they have electricity yet beyond the Borders country □Īnyway, someone may want to try it if they are desperate enough but very sad if we have to sort this out between ourselves, isn't it ? Hope you boys and girls sort it sooooooon. No, No.Don't do it.and I though, "What's all that about" so revisited this thread only to see that instead of it all being seems you guys across the pond are F*ck*d ! for want of a better description, so.Īs the voluntary 124 Spider.Org representative of the daft ideas department, here's one (and it may be quicker than Fiat ever sorting it).Private message me for my address, send me your SD card, I choose USA or Canada from list, have a go at updating for you.? Daft idea I know. Just come on line and saw a new thread,A guy asking about best deal updating his sat nav SD card and how."AnClar" jumping on his thread screaming NO. Unless and until we have a path to update our maps, we have been defrauded, IMO. We are unable to update our maps, and as far as I can tell, have no recourse, other than the legal Calvin, I wouldn't wait until November 2, I'd start your letter writing campaign now, and I'd encourage all other124 Spider owners with factory NAV-equipped cars to complain long, loudly, and publicly about the FIATasco that this is. FCA has given the big middle finger to 124 Spider purchasers and sold us a useless navigation system. ![]() It's time to start filing complaints with appropriate government consumer protection agencies. Naviextras won't support us, Fiat wont support us. We now have a direct statement from Naivextras that they do NOT support Fiat. So the phone number and link I was given by Naviextras is the number to FCA Italy customer support. Thank you for your kind understanding and cooperation. ![]() ![]() Alternately, please contact your nearest Fiat dealership. We would ask that you contact the appropriate customer support team for efficient handling of your problem. ![]() We would like to inform you that Fiat Infotainment systems are not supported by the Naviextras Customer Care Team.įiat has their own dedicated customer service centre, who you can reach on the link, or the phone number below: OK folks.here's what I got from Naviextras support: ![]()
